On wednesday I was supposed to have japanese class again for the first time after a bunch of years, instead it fell through because the teacher assigned to something else that day, pretty wack if you ask me because I got up early for this lol.
Instead I went to get some bubble tea with these two “gauweeds” ;)
The cups with the purple color are taro flavoured which is some sort of a root vegetable, the black stuff inside is called tapioka pearls, in east asia where this drink is popular they call these “boba”,
tapioka is also a sort of root plant.
The other one is a mix of jasmine tea and jelly blocks, the taste was really refreshing and light the taro one felt a bit more “heavy” but the taste was good.
We also got to try these little things that sorta look like fish eggs to me lol, but it turned out that its basil seeds. In vietnam they use those to give their drinks a little freshness kick.

They are also healthy and should support your digestion, I heard.
Later we went on to the next stop and met with some other gauweeds lol. (if you dont know what gauweed is make a search on this blog and find out)
We tried these amazing azuki bean strawberry latte drinks. Thinking of it everything we drank or ate this day had some odd bean or pearls inside haha.
It was a tad too sweet for my taste but I enjoyed it anyway, nonetheless for how nicely they prepared those drinks.
I didnt try this one but I think its made with macha (japanese green tea).
Well we didnt learn much japanese that day but we surely tried alot of new stuff from asia anyway haha.
peace
