für ihn ein paar “casual” Fotos für seinen neuen Katalog zu machen.
Ich dachte ich mach das ganze mal so bissi im Urban/Street style und keiner passt da besser als Urban Music Producer Chris Mako (@chris_mako), say WHAT!? ;)
Ausserdem ist er ja schon eine Persönlichkeit in Japan, er ist teil von Seeda’s official blogger team
und und posted schon fleissig für alle Japanischen Rap Fans.
I’ve been taking pictures with my Rollei SUC’s (Single Use Camera) again over the last few weeks.
The camera uses black and white agfa film, the first time I picked this camera up was in Tokyo this April where I bought it just for fun at Yodobashi for about 1500yen and since then I really enjoy taking pictures with it. I was lucky to find another eBay auction where someone was selling a few of those that were leftover from a wedding, for a really good price compared to what they cost in Tokyo!.
On a nice sunny day in Tokyo I decided to hit up the Stüssy x Ricoh gallery at the Ricoh Ring in Ginza.
Whats nice about Ginza on a Saturday (or was it Sunday not sure anymore) is that they block off the main streets for cars so people have more space to walk around while checking out all the stores.
Also a camera team was out and eager to find people for an interview about something, I guess fashion lol but who knows, it would fit the whole Ginza scene though.
I managed to take some pictures from inside the gallery.
Well all together the gallery was nice and it made me think about getting myself one of those Ricoh GR Digitals ;). I like their quality and how easy and compact they are I need something like that as my backup on the go camera though (depening on the lense) the 550D is not too heavy to carry around too but doesnt quite fit into my pockets ;). Afterwards we went to Shimokitazawa and checked out some other thingys but more on that in given time in another blogpost.
While looking through everything I recorded randomly, mostly to play around in vidmode with my new Canon Eos 550D, I quickly slapped together a bunch of clips to make this short music videoclip of Tokyo street scenes.

That also made me realize that I need to update my computer asap. all those new HD formats will make my current system go up in fumes soon.
Well for me wintertime could finally turn to springtime, I’m not the biggest fan of the cold and the snow and all that. It doesnt mean that I dont enjoy if everything looks white and covered with snow, it has something very calming to it especially if you walk around at night in the snow and all you can hear are your footsteps going into the snow.
We were on the way to a friend to watch the NBA allstar game, which was by the way kinda lame I must say, and I brought along my Canon 450D. I wanted to take a testshot on the street and stood there for a second to take a shot and reset something on the whitebalance when the cops pulled up from behind haha. Read the rest of this entry »
