We are very proud to unveil our very limited RUN FFM All Star Shirts, that were designed by @myk31 alreadyyy a few months ago. The design is inspired by Japanese Pop Culture as most of his amazing stuff is. He already did music videos, lots of video animations – even for MAESTROKNOWS & itsbongoboy and dope graphics, so you definitely have to check it all out on his – you guessed it – incredible site myk31.com.
We were going to drop those shirts anywayz as they were planned to be released for another special RUN FFM milestone. It just so happened, that these Japanese inspired shirts were printed this week, so it was a no-brainer to drop them now, because that way we are able to do our little part in helping Japanese people after the disaster, that hit them so hard last week. How?? We decided to donate all profits from those shirts directly to the Japanese Red Cross.
These shirts are very limited. You have the choice of 4 colours (black, white, grey, navy), but we only made a total of 31 shirts, that will sell for 31€ per piece (in conformity with Myk’s choice of the Ukrainian Devil’s Dozen as “his” number :D). The screen print is on Continental Earth Positive shirts, so they were manufactured solely using sustainable energy generated from wind and solar power and have an organic & very comfortable feel to them. I think its no news for those who are into this kind of music that korean popmusic is probably the most exported pop music within asia, first it was the korean drama tv shows that gained alot of fans in the other asian countries for its very melodramatic themes and now kpop is making its way to the west aswell.
More or less by an accident I found out about the group 2NE1 that recently released their first album in Korea.
A funny sidenote is that I remember one of the singers (Sandara Park the one with the weird hair lol) from her filmwork in the Philippines, good to see that she is having a career as popstar in Korea now, though the movies were always bad her acting was actually alright, as far as I could judge.
The reason I post this is that when I watched this video on youtube without understanding a word I was surprised to see that they work with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas.
I guess we will be hearing more korean music in the future hopefully with less “weird english” lyrics ;-). Its always a question of taste but I think the beats and the production value has become
amazingly good over the years, its just a matter of time I guess.
Today marks the day we first posted something on this domain RUNFFM.COM
That was one year ago, when we started this blog we just thought that it would be a nice idea to have something like a scrapbook online where we just file everything that we find in some way interesting, cool or inspirational.
For us that is sneakers, gaming, design, art, music, toys, movies, travelling, photography, videos, filmmaking, sports and alot more too much to mention.
Its basically our brains splattert accross this blog haha.
We will keep that spirit up and also do our best to step it up a notch for 2010 !
Also we made posts about our trips to different countries like the USA, Egypt and Japan.

About travel blogging I will soon visit Tokyo again and I’ll make sure to put up some vlogs too in the usual fashion, this time I will try to focus more on retro gaming in Japan since I’m a big fan of old videogames and videogame systems, especially the ones that never came out in our area.

While shooting some footage around the Tokyo streets last August I kept recognizing these “sumo face” decals almost everywhere around Tokyo, alot of them in Harajuku and Asakusa somehow, streetart still seems to be big in Tokyo. I even saw a little documentary about these “sumo faces” if I can find it again I will post the youtube link below aswell.

Oh well about the taste I expected something more “milky” and “vanilla-ish” but it tastes like some kind of soda pop / ramune which I find odd for pudding, therefor it doesnt go that well with coffee or tea in my opinion.
Anyways I’m enjoying my afternoon oppai now cheers!.
Hey as a new part of this blog I will present you this Youtube category where I will feature “VLOGGERS” , people that basically record themselves and talk about interesting stuff on youtube. I chose youtube since I dont even know if people do that on whatever vimeo or dailymotion, I think there are better videosites to host but youtube is the biggest of them all so I went for that obviously.
Enough of that, as my first feature I want to introduce StreetEnglishTV to you guys, he makes really cool videos about japanese pop and urban culture. He just started out a few month back but he is professional in any sense and I like the stuff he produces. Basically I want to do a similar thing for a german filmfest but not in episode form and more of a 40min documentary. I’m already stoked to hopefully meet him this year in Tokyo while I produce my little video documentary and I will see if I can interview him too.
Check this video out its about sex culture in Japan, so I read alot about how sex is handled in Japan but it was mostly from a mens perspective well guess what they have a red light district for women in Tokyo, haha and its nothing like Amsterdam guys trust me ;-)

We spent a day in Boston and Cambridge last week to visit Simon a friend of Andi (ballatician on runffm) who just graduated Harvard (congrats!) and to check out Boston a little bit. First stop was Karmaloop which I wrote about a little bit earlier, they got kicked out of their old location and moved to another place, we just stood in front of an emptied out closed store with no signs or notifications of the new location also the website didnt say anything about the new location so we went on.
We went on to Niketown and some other locations and also found the Johnny Cupcakes flagship store.
I’ve just ordered a book called The Tokyo Diaries by author David Schumann.
As the title gives it away its his Tokyo diary what else would it be, well the title could be some kind of drama novel but whatever its on point right?. David Schuhmann went to Tokyo to study at a japanese university for a few months and got the full treatment of japanese culture shock, weird things happening, weird people doing weird things and being isolated or at least feeling isolated in the beginning.
I can relate to a few of those things but I havent been to Tokyo that long to really know what actually goes on, therefor this is a nice read of actual real Tokyo experience.
And you know what if you’re actually are a punk rocker in your late 20s you might have a good chance to be a model in Japan at least thats what happened to him.
I’m not through the whole book yet but the first few pages were not bad and got me hooked and books usually dont work for me but if something is interesting enough I give it a chance thats why I sprung for the 16,90 Euro that this book costs on amazon hope I wont regret it.
As of now I would say if you are a fan of japanese pop culture and you speak and read german you should go and buy that book.
