Went out today to take some shots with my Yashica Electro 35 GT and met up with friends to go on a little photowalk. Took some random cellphone shots here and there.
I call that the “Kamera lifestabil ” haha, I have never tried Illy espresso had a double shot great aroma plus nice buzz – Illy +1 LOL.

Talking about Google+ anybody already got into that ? Do you like it? @theballatician and me already have our accounts registered but we are not really active on it yet.
Stumbled upon another cool thing , this is a gas pump from 1979/1980 look at the price for 1 litre of gasoline back in the days in Germany haha (91,1 PFENNIG!).

We spotted this cool scooter outside a store called B74 (Berliner Str. 74, FFM) drop by if you are into bikes and 60s / 70s era motorcycle esque fashion they got a great selection.

I remember this magazine from when I was in Tokyo never thought you’ll be able to get it around here but you can grab this at 2Four7 (Weissfrauenstr 2 – 8, FFM)

I also checked out the Carhartt x Powershovel collabo for the Blackbird Fly camera :)

If you want one they still got a few in stock at the Carhartt Store Frankfurt (Am Salzhaus 4, FFM) they are limited and go for 130€.
That price is quite a bargain compared to these bad boys that we checked out afterwards at the Leica gallery just a few meters down from the Carhartt shop.

All together a great day for some photowalking will post some shots once the rolls are developed.

Hey RUNFFM fam! Hope you all had a great exit from 2010 and arrived save and healthy in 2011 :)
I had a good time yesterday just being around some friends being wacky as always and having alot of fun.
I woke up after what must have been only about 5 hours of sleep feeling great, I dont know how that happened but yeah I guess 2011 gives me more energy and probably I left all the haters doomed in 2010 xD. So my personal way to start this year was to go take a little walk around my local area and take a few “street snaps” here and there, nothing fancy just enjoyed that everyone else was still sleeping off their hangovers and it felt a little bit like in “Omega Man / I am Legend”.

I had to laugh a little when I saw these shoes dangling and then shortly after I was like WTF o_O.

Original Alpengauweed eh Alpengaudi? What a ripoff ;D

The Aftermath. That reminds me right now, when is that new Dr. Dre album release again??

Lets have alot of fun again in 2011 !! RUNFFM.com YO! :D

Another meeting or “babbel session” as I would like to call it was long overdue so Andi (@theballatician) and I (@chrishimself84) were joined by Mike (@mikemiguel69) to
get some coffee and talk about some new plans and clearing up some current topics that we just didnt want to do over the internet.

I know that nowadays you are able to do almost everything via the internet, sometimes its the only choice if your partners live abroad or even few hours away but I still
find it very important to meet up in person as much as possible, lots of things get misinterpreted over the internet and even though the internet is the fastest way of connecting, you sometimes
ditch emails or forget about stuff with all the information coming in every second.

On our way to grab some coffee Andi noticed these dope sneakers, swaggarrrrona! ;)

If you are tired just drink one cup of this hazelnut black coffee and you will be jumping like a raver, I drink coffee on the regular but this stuff is strong haha.
Could also be because I almost drank it on an empty stomach though.

There is some things you need to recognize before you take the subway in Germany ;).

Andi decided to hit up Loop5 I never heard of the place before but its a huge mall in Weiterstadt with food court and all, pretty americano I would say ;)

Andi took a chance to meet up with a friend, introducing Marko he runs the bench. store at Loop5 and dropped some
knowledge when I told him about the filipino bench/ , never expected anyone outside of the Philippines and non-filipino to know
about the brand haha. RESPECT! I have to say that I like the new bench. fleece hoodys, cool relaxed style and perfect for the cold and windy days.

They had some lowrider and sportscar showcase going on downstairs.

Man look at all that wiring, can you travel time with that !?

I could see myself going all Al Capone style with this kind of ride. That would be pretty baller.

I probably looked like a creepy pervert trying to take these shots at the toilet hahah but come on whose idea was it to put those there?
“Oh yeah while I’m taking a piss I should buy my girlfriend something nice for tonight, mhh plastic fetish”
COME ON!

Fun stopped when they introduced the mouth shaped toilets, just make regular toilets, what are you thinking!.
Oh yeah and I also got a belated birthday present from Andi, thanks again at this point, this will be really useful but first I need to clean my desk up haha.

This is soooo dope Tokyo retro eBoy style.
peace

I wanted to try out the Ricoh GRDII with some snapmode settings and some monochrome settings aswell and just fired away as I made my way through the train and subway stations.
This is just another one of my photowalk blogposts sometimes I find interesting words to put under the photos but mostly its just the photos that speak and its either pretty random or follows a theme.

Stefan trying out some settings with his Canon G11.

The whole train station was full of these messages.

Hey I thought I would keep my blogposts updated and make a short “goodbye summer” entry.
The last few days have been a bit busy for me, quite the unusual
but it was my birthday on the 21st and I also had work the last few days still I hope you were able to enjoy the last few sunny days this summer since today marks
the last day.

I took the chance to go outside to take some streetsnaps but I ended up enjoying the weather more instead of actually taking alot of pictures.
I guess the inspiration wasnt there that day haha ;).

Well bye bye summer welcome autumn its actually my favorite season and no not for “EMO” reasons haha I just like the slightly cold but sunny days.

peace

I had to do some stuff in Friedberg today nothing special but since I want to keep these photowalk blogs up and going I took a few snaps from today.
This is the train station in Friedberg, I like how it looks.

For such a small city like Friedberg their train station has quite alot of tracks.

Inside the train station we decided to check out the magazine stands and browsed a bit through the manga section, yes it became quite standard/mainstream in Germany so that almost every
magazine / newspaper shop has mangas now.

This one right here is like a free preview copy for you to grab, its like a taste test for the newest mangas released. I also like the dinosaur character “Gon” that some of you guys might remember
from Tekken 3 ;).

A recommendation from a friend of mine who knows the Anime “Highschool of the Dead”.

Zelda Manga??

World of Warcraft Manga/Comic ?!?!?!??! Milking the cashcow a little more now huh?

RUNFFM is your personal LOVE BLOG!

I thought this book looked interesting since its about japanese popculture a topic that I am into alot, there is alot of stuff in this book that I remember from my last few trips to Tokyo and some
who have been there might recognize alot of it too.
Tokyo Clash on Amazon.de for 14,95 Euro

Passmo or Suica card do you still have yours from your Japan trip? I still carry mine around every day lol I left it in my wallet it also still works after I have been using it every year when I am in Tokyo.

A motorcycle designed like a toilet or like a bullet train? Or the toilet designed like a bullet train? huh?

Some more regular home appliances that look “extremely futuristic”.

Everyone who has been in Tokyo remembers the toilets and those implemented bathroom sinks on top of the toilets, always thought that was a pretty neat idea but theres no place to put some soap next to it.

I think the left looks like a “Donki” or “Don Quixote/Don Quijote” its a multi level department kind of store with almost everything you need or dont need in your daily life in Tokyo, make sure to visit one of those when you are in Tokyo you will recognize them by a big sign with a blue penguin on top in a weird costume lol. Heres also a pretty cool flickr group dedicated just to “Donki”.

There are still some old style cinemas in Friedberg, with all those multiplexes dominating the cinema scene its kinda nice to see one of those still up and running.
Btw. I head that new movie by M. Night Shyamalan sucks (like his last few movies too? whats wrong thought he made good movies once)

I have this tradition that everytime I have to go to Friedberg I drive by the local Burger King on the way back lol this time I was joined by Stefan for some good “health food”.

And thats the end of todays photoblog I’ll keep you updated also make check out our T-Shirts we will also put up the white colorway online soon.

Wow.. what a day again for a blog this kinda starts to feel like alot of work haha but we do it for the joy of it and since we know that we have some readers who also like what we do
we keep on doing what we do.

We decided to reprint a small number of our RUNFFM T-Shirts and had to pick them up today we really needed this order asap. so we were really happy that our screenprinter
was so kind to help us out last minute. Also we took the chance to make those requested white versions of the shirt, hope you are going to like the white RUNFFM T-Shirt,
they will be launched online at the end of August!!.

Our time was so limited that we had to do some paperwork right at the screenprinters place, I mean Andi (@theballatician) was doing the work, I was just playing around with my
new HTC Wildfire haha, never had a phone with a touchscreen and never thought of getting one but this one seems decent.

Right after we had to go on a delivery tour, its RUNFFM courier all over again haha.

Thats David our first customer that received a white RUNFFM T-Shirt! =) Hoooray! haha.

We also put a few in stock at Market41 on Fressgasse 41 in Frankfurt am Main if you are here go grab them we are also planning on putting them in stock at Julies Barbershop but
because you have to wait for 30-40mins. at a local supermarket to buy a “Leberkäs Brötchen” (google that) we didnt have the time left to drop them of.
We were in such a hurry and Andi had to make it to his Basketball training but its all going to be worth it I’m sure.
We are just lucky to be able to put out some kind of product, in this case T-Shirts, to connect with our people from Frankfurt and people who are into this blogger subculture/popculture stuff.
I think it is the easiest way for us to put our name out and to give you some dope T-Shirts to represent Frankfurt plus it finances some of our expenses and its a hell lot of fun to do it aswell.

All the photos have been taken with a HTC Wildfire cellphone since I forgot my Ricoh GR Digital II at home.
I think it takes decent pictures, good enough for blogposts, twitter, fb and such =).
Give me a holla if you are on twitter @chrishimself84 just hover over my name and hit follow.
peace and keep that “Swaggarona” up by grabbing a T-Shirt at the store =). The white version will be availibe online at the end of August!!

As usual I carry on with my so called “Photowalk” posts from places I go to and what has been going on lately in terms of RUNFFM etc.
Soon-Ho aka ZUNO gave me a ride to the city he had a rough night aswell haha kinda funny how everyone was partying hard the night before I meet them.

We arrived at Market41, the event was called “Flutschfinger” (named after a famous popsicle).

And of course we were all munching away on the “Flutschfinger” popsicles =)

Our RUNFFM T-Shirts out on display, they sold out quickfast!!

Andi (@theballatician) dropped by and we decided to hit up MoschMosch for some “Yakiudon” with slices of Beef in teriyaki sauce pretty gooooood gotta eat that more often unfortunately I forgot
to take a picture of it LOL damn ^^;;

Afterwards we were hanging out at Mikes place until the party started :)

Arrived at the party, ZUNO dropping threepointers like Ray Allen?

DJ Passion rocking the show, as far as I heard he just got in from Hamburg from another gig a night earlier, but as expected the music was top notch!

All together it was a cool night met some nice people, had alot of ice cream lol and saw my good friends again like Roberto who is always M.I.A haha ;D Shouts to Simon who is back in Germany.
Shouts to Market41 Yves and Lea, as always they know how to organize a party!! =)
Look forward to the FUJI INSTAX POST where you will get to see some instant photography pictures, RUNFFM always got the funky camera stuff going on you already know it haha.

Personally I feel a little under the weather but its cool just gonna chill and everythings gonna be good.

peace

We really had to have another meeting in the city today for several reasons, we sold out almost all of our T-Shirts and need to restock asap. and we are already making plans for upcoming events and were talking about some details for our new “products”. Also Andi (@theballatician) finished his semester finals so he finally had the time to meet up .. he had a rough night partying though ;) but “you cant knock the hustle” hahaha.

Met Mike too today was cool hanging out with him again after a long while, I’m already looking forward to go party with him at tomorrows Flutschfinger event, if you are interested make sure to scroll down and check out the details its organized by Market41 a pop-up store in Frankfurt that is plain awesome but I will get to that later in that post.

So since I have never seen the Market41 store in person I had to drag the guys to it to check it out. Its aaaaall the way in the back of this little area on “Große Bockenheimer/Fressgasse” near “Alte Oper”
if you have no idea where it is and you are in Frankfurt and want to check it out then click here for google maps lol.

Lea, who is the owner of Market41, offered us to put some of our RUNFFM shirts on display for the next two months. The whole concept of a pop-up shop is that it only opens for a short
period of time and basically offers some brands or products that are normally not widely availible, basically for you to get a little taste of whats out there.

Here comes our little dilemma that we solved with the power of coffee.

Soon-Ho dropped by, how dope, I havent seen this guy in a long while he had finals too and is now preparing for his diploma thesis but I am already looking forward to go out and hit some parties with him before he is “gone” again to work on his diploma.

Also I noticed that my camera was still on some weird setting that I tried out few days ago so I had to fix some pictures in post at least a little bit, däng.
Soon-Ho talking over some double-shot espresso, word!.

Well we were able to get at least a little “sample run” of a few sizes to show at tomorrows Market41 event to solve our little dilemma, also Mike was very helpful ironing the T-Shirts LOL!.

I really love this picture down here, Mike is ironing and Claudia is chilling eating a sandwich hahahhaha great moment! What an awesome couple! =D

Soon-Ho digged into the chorizo!

Intermission….

done.
Back to the shop setting up the T-Shirts, Mike likes this “dress”.

“Hui!”

Market41 is everywhere on the streets.

“Kaugummi! Kaugummi!” lol that means Bubblegum in german, does anyone still remember those oldschool candy vending machines??

Streetart by V3NT.

Yes I really dig this, its Crooks and Castles and Sixpack France to the right and all RUNFFM on the left yessir!

Okay so all in all this was a pretty productive day we managed to talk to our screenprinter to order a reprint and were able to put out some T-Shirts on display.

And off we go hit me up on twitter anytime @chrishimself84

peace out!
Chris

Got me a new Ricoh GR Digital II recently and since I need to figure this camera out now I took it on a photowalk. I know that there is a GR Digital III out already but I didnt want to spend too much anyway and the GRD II is perfect for a on the go snappy camera, who wants to lug around the big DSLR all the time anyway?
Alright here are some pics, shoutout to Stefan who came along shooting with his Canon G11 that he bought in Tokyo when we were hanging out in Akihabara.

I was shooting mostly in black and white since I heard that this camera has cool b/w settings so I tried to play around with it a little but here is a color shot, one of the few so far.

This is a really cool bakery in Frankfurt, its a japanese bakery called Iimori and it has all the tasty things like Melonpan or Anpan yum yum yum. Very very ooiiiishii lol ah my good old baka gaijin nihongo.

There is also a Kaiten Sushi called Kamon (the ones that run on a conveyor belt) right next to it, actually it all belongs together so either you are up for a nice coffee and a snack or some good sake and sushi.

Go check out the Iimori website.
Alright please go ahead add me up a on flickr and twitter too and hammer that like button and facebook stuff =D.

ciao

Heres my last Lomo LCA Tokyo film this time I tried out the Kodak Ektar 100 film that I bought at the Yodobashi Camera shop. I heard its a more professional film and I was wondering how this film will turn out with the “kinda low-fi” (not to degrade this great camera) Lomo LCA.
Enjoy the pictures and I hope you might get the urge to visit Tokyo, great city!
