This is not a typical Tokyo guidebook that you find at your local bookstore. Its fresh outta ``TOKYO`` and its a bilingual one! Explore Kichijoji, Shimo-Kita, Nakano, Harajuku and more with this. A Must-have Guide for Otaku and Mania trip of Tokyo city.

The title already pretty much gives it away its called the Tokyo Maniacs Guide, this book is extraordinary ;-)
All bilingual for you in english and japanese this book gives you insider tipps on locations in Tokyo that are worth a check out if you are into not so “normal” things.

This book is going to help me with the research on japanese popculture and my documentary on it, that is scheduled for shoot this august.

If you want it the only place to order it is YESASIA , more pictures after the jump!.

And if you are into figurines and Otaku culture then you should definitetly check out www.dannychoo.com !!.

I have been mainly checking out his photo series for the most part, since I am not really that interested in figurines but I am interested in japanese culture and I’m currently in pre-production to a documentary which deals with japanese pop culture / subcultures in japan. It has been a great source for research so far and I wanted to share it with you.

Also Danny Choo recently held the TOKYO CGM NIGHT for the second time already, which is in his own words a “Bodacious Harmony Awesomness”… eeh night for people that creat consumer generated media (thats what CGM stands for, like youtube videos or like a blog). People can mingle and network/get to know each other share ideas and just have fun, which seems to be one of a kind in Tokyo at the moment and with over 200 guests the most succesful.

If I get the chance to attend some day I will make another post but for now check out his site its worth it especially his photo series “A Week In Tokyo”.

Oh and by the way you might also know him as Tokyo Trooper :
