You can also catch him DJing in clubs and bars. Just chec the dates on his site. Here’s also his latest mixtape called ‘Moombahstico’, that includes the latest Moombahton tracks. Don’t know this genre yet?? Just have a listen…
Another hot day in Frankfurt and yet we give you another mixtape. Our homie and RUN FFM Basketball teammate DJ Steph dropped this bad boy of mixtape for your backyard sippin’ today. But whatever you gonna do today, it perfectly matches with the weather on this beautiful summer day. By the way, anybody have a BBQ today???
The Weekly Ten Minutes project is now 14 weeks deep, so it’s already a 140 minutes-long mixtape by many different DJs, that will probably never end.
In week 13 Fat Jon, American hip hop producer of Five Deez, blessed us with some special 10 minutes, that are maybe not your average mix, but that’s exactly why we really enjoyed listening to it.
Just had my first test for this semester today, so guess what: I don’t have much time to blog, because there are other ones still coming up, but I’ll be chilling for a few minutes and listening to some fine Soul & RnB music mixed by DJ Lunis, so I thought why not share it with you? It’s also perfect for a regular Monday evening.
The Weekly Ten Minutes started this year as a unique project from a bunch of DJs, who are determinded to bless us with 10 minutes of great music every week (as the name suggests). With a different DJ every Sunday, there is something for nearly every taste, and by continuing with the last track of the previous week there might never be an end to this mixtape.
Now 5 weeks in, it’s already a 50-minute mixtape, that will continue next week and so on and on. So far it features Frankfurt based DJs, but the plan is to also get DJs from all places involved. Hope you’ll enjoy listening to it as much as I did.
Thanks so far, guys! There’s definitely more great music to come, so if you don’t wanna miss out on it, you should follow either on SoundCloud, where you can also download the mixtapes as mp3 files, or on Facebook.
OK, maybe I’ll continue with some more Berlin-realted posts for a minute. But for a special reason.
About a month ago, hypebeast.tv posted this very nice video about the new creative space in Berlin: MADE. I already mentioned it in my last Berlin post, when I talked about meeting Phil-G., who is one of the people responsible for this unique project. The others are Nico Zeh, Tadi Rock & Luise Biesalski.
But more specifically this video also gives us an impression of their second event called ‘Typographic Ballet’ that featured Ebon Heath & rapper Talib Kweli both from Brooklyn.
If you did pay attention to the music in the background, great! And if you did not, you should just check again, because I could listen to it ALLLLLLLLL day. It is beautifully done by Frankfurt located producer Crada (@the_real_crada), who also was part of this event and who did some tracks for internationally known artists The LOX, KiD CuDi, Drake & Nneka featuring NaS. His latest production is for L.A. rapper Jay Rock. Here’s the video for the song, that is also part of Jay Rock’s upcoming mixtape ‘Black Friday’. You can listen to the other tracks on his SoundCloud profile.
I’m hoping to listen to a lot more good stuff from this kid. Keep it up!
It’s finally vacation time for me! I’m telling you, I need it so badly right now!!! Maybe you noticed that I didn’t post nearly at all, even after my tests at university were over. Part of it had to do with other obligations, part of it with me running around with no head and also of course with all the stuff that is involved with our shirts (It’s a process).
But whatever the case, I’m taking my talents to a beach in Southern Europe. It was a very hard decision and I didn’t know until this morning yadayadayada….. For real, I’m just looking forward to chill & relax at a nice place for the next few days.
But of course I won’t leave without leaving something for you. In this case it’s musicI will be listening to while chillin’ at the beach.
