Today has already been a music filled day thx to @deejaysteph’s summer mixtape which is btw. awesome! Yesterday Ricardo from Fammly Inc. send me two tracks by Miami based rapper ReaZon. I like the track “Gone” the most so far, pretty laid back vibes. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Hey friends, fellow readers and people that just stumbled upon :)
Since I’ve been in contact with @chris_mako and @the_real_crada from Frankfurt I’ve been exposed to the music of Rasul and Square One.
First I didnt even realize that english was not Rasul’s first language I honestly thought I was listening to some New York HipHop!
I think this new video has universal appeal also to non hiphop heads, hey I’m not a hiphop head myself or I probably would have known all about Square One ;D.
It is also part of a new album called “Writing Colors” that was released through Juice Magazine .
I think its a great way to discover Rasuls music and to honor him if you are a true fan.
If you want some greater insight on the lyrics and references make sure to check out this awesome blogpost by DJ Kitsune.
I think he might be one of the only few people who are able to give you that insight on Rasul’s music.
As for me personally I really like the music of “Welcome Home” and I might just hit up the newsstand tomorrow to buy me a copy of Juice Magazine.
Only because its good music! RIP Rasul.
Here’s a nice & laid-back mash-up track, that combines Adele’s “Chasing Pavements” with Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “Never Change“, for an easy Sunday morning.
But what’s still missing here along some Jordans after a lost job (check @chrishimself84′s post from yesterday for that) and now the gold chain, are some chicks, right??
Some time ago, I read about Playboy’s plans to rank the Top 23 Air Jordans. Obviously, I was looking forward to it and the pics are, uhm, quite nice, but as a sneakerhead I would’ve liked the J’s on the Playmates’ feet or somewhere “in the picture”. The way they did it now, it could have also been someone at home behind his Photoshop putting a picture of an Air Jordan and a Playmate together. Or do you think they really used some big ass J’s in size 256 for this photo shoot?? Me don’t think so…
Only pic where it goes along pretty well in my opinion is that one for the Jordan VII, because the Playmate seems to have the laces in her hands.
If you are still hyped or just wanna see some naked women, you can check out the whole Solemate feature on Playboy’s website. If you pay at least $4.95 that is!
The Weekly Ten Minutes project is now 14 weeks deep, so it’s already a 140 minutes-long mixtape by many different DJs, that will probably never end.
In week 13 Fat Jon, American hip hop producer of Five Deez, blessed us with some special 10 minutes, that are maybe not your average mix, but that’s exactly why we really enjoyed listening to it.
After @chrishimself84 already posted some Instax pics & his überdope video recap of our first RUNFFM.com BLOG PARTY yesterday, here are some of the Instax pics I took from the night. Only some?!? Yeah, only some, because I have no idea, where the other ones disappeared at. Also it was hardly even possible to take pictures from the dance floor, because that bad boy was so packed. It was an absolute frenzy. So, once again: Shouts to everyone in the crowd & also to the DJs, that made the packed dance floor possible!!!
The party couldn’t last forever, but the memories will… Thanks, everybody!!!
Hey peepz!
First of all let me say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our little “blog party” !! You guys were AWESOME !
I hope you enjoyed the music, big shout to AirFussOne & Brad Pitch part of the The Kidz Make Noiz and of course birthday child DJ K3N MAST3RS who were all rippin the decks!
Also thanks to the rest of the Radio Soultrain crew who dropped by after their show, cool peoples, make sure to check back for links of the recording.
Shouts to Roman of Frankfurts one and only StereoBar , thank you for giving us a chance to “experiment” a little at your venue haha ;).
Now to the first batch of Instax pictures of the night taken by yours truly @chrishimself84 , the second batch will be presented by Andi (@theballatician) as soon as possible.
Thanks to @chris_mako who provided his Instax camera that he brought straight from Tokyo, thanks for letting me borrow it for the evening ^^.
As I share a good relation with Japan and have been to Japan a few times in my life so far my thoughts are of course with the people struck by the earthquake and tsunami in the northern parts of Japan.
My friend and music producer Chris Mako decided to produce a music track in collaboration with japanese rap artist EGO to express their feelings and thoughts and to give people energy to be able
to rebuild and move forward.
Please give it a listen even if you dont understand Japanese.
I posted this under the slogan TRACK OF THE HOUR a few days ago on Facebook and twitter (@theballatician), but honestly this track has been the BANGER OF THE LAST FEW DAYS. I love that it’s just raps (and crazy ones by the way). I love the beat. I love the video, which is plain and simple, but I still enjoyed watching it more than… let’s say…. the last Kanye video. I’m real happy for you Kanye, but… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So, I hope that at least one of you guys will also enjoy it for these reasons.
Thanks to Simon for sharing. Have a nice Sunday, everybody.
Hey my buddy @chris_mako gave me the link to this awesome mixtape that got released in Japan by K3N MAST3RS called DOITSU BANGAZ.
Please go ahead and download it its for free here is the link to Seedas Blog where it was released exclusively for the Japanese HipHop fans!.
Just had my first test for this semester today, so guess what: I don’t have much time to blog, because there are other ones still coming up, but I’ll be chilling for a few minutes and listening to some fine Soul & RnB music mixed by DJ Lunis, so I thought why not share it with you? It’s also perfect for a regular Monday evening.
