OK, so I’m doing me right now (I guess that’s the appropriate saying these days), because my tests at university are coming up next week, but judging from some tweets and also this post by the homie Neil Armstrong announcing some festivities, it is NBA All Star Weekend in L.A., right???
Well, I don’t get excited for the game anymore as I used to, but there is always still the dunk contest. And with Blake Griffin in it (just check this new vid of him! Ouch!!!) I’m pretty excited about that. But whatever he does in this contest, his in-game dunks are still the shit to me, because he’s doing all this incredible stuff in an actual GAME!!!!
Speaking of dunk contests: While some mascots like RUN FFM, some others just like to dunk like Mr. Boom Tho in the Korean dunk contest.
Boom Tho is basically a movement, that is mostly represented by Rod Benson, a long time, great and very creative blogger, who happens to play basketball professionally. If you are into the behind-the-scenes basketball & overall funny things, I highly recommend to check his blog.

Also speaking of DJ Neil Armstrong, some weeks ago I clicked through his YouTube channel and found these videos of him DJing at the Rookie Photoshoot the NBA does in NYC before each season. OK, you won’t see him DJing in those videos, but you can see, how to future NBA players do at the decks as he is giving them some lessons.
To Neil & everyone out in L.A. a great All Start Weekend and of course also to those, that are losing sleep while watching it in front of the TV. :)

I guess, that is the right expression for what’s going on with me and NIKE‘s Dunk. I already got myself three new pairs this year after I was able to not buy any shoes for almost the first three months of the year. All of them were not planned, as there are some other important releases this year. But, why not? Life’s short, right??
It all began with this NIKE Dunk Hi Nylon Premium, when I ordered it at KICKZ.com.
Only one day or so after, me and Amil went to the big sale at our local NIKE Stadium Store here in Frankfurt. Everything was off like 50% or something. I copped those right here. Some other Dunk Hi Premiums.
And to round it all out I ordered these Gucci Dunks, who officially go by the name of Nike SB Dunk Hi Premium Deep Forest/Paprika. Allegedly, these were the last pairs in size 12, that were still laying around somewhere at NIKE and I just love the colorway. Thx to Partizan.
Oh, and check out this box and the little details on the inside of it.
More new gear to be featured in the next days as I didn’t only limit myself to my new obsession.

Got some new Nike Dunks in the so called varsity red colorway, classic, nothing too fancy.
Cant wait to wear these this spring when all the snow is gone.
Theres also a varsity blue colorway availible.

Hey, today we went to a little event called Fashion City West in Frankfurt am Main.
It was a sunday we had nothing else to do and a little time on our hands, the event was free and so we thought we should drop by and give it a quick run.
The only interesting thing at this fair/trade show was probably the booth of Freebase Records/Sneakers and we got the chance to check out some of their newest Nike quickstrike releases including the Parra Air Maxim 1+ and the Cassette Playa Dunk High, shoutouts to Robert of Freebase Sneakers at this point.

Please check out this new collaboration shoe… OK, so it’s not really a collabo, but with the possibilities of NIKEiD I created my own NIKE Dunk Low.
For the colors, I chose blue for the sky and yellow for the sun. These shoes are strictly for the summer!!
Additionally, I could inscribe the inner and outter surface. ASSZ obvioulsy stands for my name and on the inner side my hometown of Frankfurt is represented.
