That’s handicraft work for sneakerheads. David Brownings does these paper shoes of NIKE Dunk Highs.

You can even ask him for your own pair in your own colorway via his site.

I was just going through the new NIKEiD. App for the iPhone as I discovered this pair of NIKE Dunks designed by aaron 91 91. In my opinion it’s a dope way to costumize your kicks – or as he put it “straight up g”.
The App is nice and you can go throught designs that people uploaded and search by product or color. You can also look into your own locker and buy the products you find directly in the App. What’s missing so far is the possibility to costumize the colors on your own product step-by-step.

The guys from SNEAKERIZED (also check our previous post) returned from this year’s Sneakerness in Vienna with a nice little video that shows us what was going on there. Of course, sneakers of all brands and eras had been on display and also for sale, but also t-shirts, skate boards and street art. Bobbito even made his way to Austria as you can see in the videos, presenting his new model with Pro-Keds.
Through SNEAKERIZED I also found a link to Gaby Zwaan’s site, who made his own video. He has some incredible pieces of art. For real. Go and check out some of these here. Hopefully, we will have some more from him soon here on RUN FFM.
SNEAKERIZED and fm4 also have some more pics for you.
It seems, that the next Sneakerness is going to be held in Germany in 2010, so I definitely think we shouldn’t miss out on all the fun next year.

Or university to be exact. For that special occasion tomorrow and in order to extra motivate me, I grabbed this backpack by Eastpak, done in collaboration with British design duo Eley Kishimoto.

It had been hanging on my wardrobe for quite some time now, after I found it on oki-ni.com. Only 1000 units of each product (overview here) were made, but were still affordable. And according to the label this backpack even should be able to carry my laptop. Great news, hehe…

Included in the package was this special paper bag, an Eastpak Eley Kishimoto pin and also a very big bag by oki-ni.

So, lets hope my studies will benefit from my new backpack. :-)

Living in Frankfurt has so much advantages. Like yesterday, when I got a message by my man Amil, asking if I would like to go to the IAA, the world’s largest motor show, that takes place here every two years. Phil, my new teammate had free tickets. I mean, to me these are just cars, but as I didn’t have to pay…

OK, there always HAS to be someone with that hat at a motor show, right? Now that we have that checked, let’s move on to the cars…
Audi R8 5.2 quattro

Lamborghini Reventón Roadster

Tesla S Series

Alfa Romeo 8C Spider

Artega Intro 2008 GT, limited to 99 units

Wiesmann GT MF5. That’s really bad ass to drive up in this one.

Next, we went to Mercedes-Benz, located in the antique Festhalle.

Electric motor on display

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Vintage cars in front of the Festhalle with the Messeturm in the background.

We were also testing out this parcours. Only as passengers though.

Big props go out to Mercedes-Benz for the invitation to their exclusive catering.

But finally, we decided to move on…
Brabus G V12 5

Brabus S V12 R biturbo

Aston Martin by Mansory

Honda Insight

Honda Genesis. Bad ass color.
GT by CITROËN

Pegeot bb1. Electronic city car. Length 2,5m. They also aired a beatifully done commercial.

MINI had a very kool booth with a DJ, celebrating the car’s birthday.

BMW had a arena set up, where cars were driving around and over their booth.

I guess, I took the following pictures because of the car… Hmmmm, yeah, must have been because of the car: BMW Efficient Dynamics.

Rolls-Royce Phanton. BAWS!!!

Thanks to my guys for the interesting and funny day.

After Chrishimself made me aware of the fact, that some NIKE Dunks High, that I was thinking about buying for a long time, are being sold during AZITA‘s sale (even in my size!!! US12!), I drove there yesterday to get them. In typical Frankfurt colors!!!

AZITA
Münzgasse 10, 60311 Frankfurt

On their web store I also found some interesting magazines, but mostly the Preview Issue of reed pages intrigued me. From the AZITA store, you just have to walk around the corner and you’ll find LASER MAGAZINE. Hopefully, they’ll get also the real issues, as there are so many interesting things already in this Preview Issue. Also, some things, I already planned to blog about, so that means, you’ll get even more quality posts now. :-)

You can also subscribe to it. Worldwide shipping is even being included in the 60$ fee. That’s word up!!!

Aren’t we all a little… sneakerized?!?
Sneakerized is also the name of the blog of three Germany guys (Oliver, Mischa and Sven), that you have to know as a sneaker head in Germany. They also made this clip, titled – you guessed it – Sneakerized. And I’m sure, many of us will find ourselves in there at some point. LOL!!!
By the way, I really love the “It’s marking check boxes with a swoosh” line. Hehe.
But they have even more specials for you. If you are visiting a city, their store finder is worth a look for finding sneaker stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Just type in the name of the city.
And it really doesn’t stop here. The best thing is about to come: Oliver and Sven even created their own sneaker brand, called flaek, and designed their first shoe, the kaalen hi. It has a clean and timeless design, features quality materials and interchangeable tongues. The whole process was covered in their flaek blog and this interview by Sneaker Freaker Magazine provides another insight into their project. Go to their site for more pictures and information. Originally, a project for their studies, they now try to make a production of the sneaker possible.

It is already good to see how far they have come, but hopefully, these guys can go all the way finally.

First of all, I’m sorry this post is heavily delayed. I had a very nice surprise visit, but here we go.
Not only does today mark the release day of KiD CuDi’s first album, it’s also the day Michael Jordan, Air, MJ, #23, The G.O.A.T. is enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame just in these moments.
Nike has put together a nice timeline, titled ‘History of Flight‘, for MJ’s career, also presenting his shoes throughout the years – from the Air Jordan I to the Air Jordan 2009.
Of course all his championships, the Olympics 1992, all the milestones are covered and you are able to watch 23 videos of special moments, while there is also some interesting information you might not know yet. A fact, that I obviously like very much, is that MJ had to play one game in a jersey with #12, because his jersey had been stolen (check the heart you see above). You also get to know about the inspiration behind some of the Air Jordan shoes. Surprisingly, I learned that the Air Jordan XI (11) was inspired by a lawnmover – OK, a well designed one after all, but still -, a shoe that moved on to be one of the hottest sneakers out there. I saw a pair on sale for 1,200 Dollars in Tokyo a few weeks ago. So, go ahead and do whatever you like with that information.
Congrats to MJ, even though it maybe considered a formality, and thanks to Flo for the heads up.

With the new iPhone 3GS being talked about quite a lot lately, I want to present to you this little funny challenge. It’s not specificly an 3GS, but an iPhone compared to a netbook. Go see for yourself, which one might be the better assistant in extreme situations…
Andi / @IAMGANDINO

This is the new… eiPott. Yeah, you got it right!!! For all non-German speakers, that don’t get the pun, just enjoy the pics. The design comes from koziol and you should see the eiPott in stores soon.

This post is about the about Sneaker Book (written in German).

It’s not your normal sneaker book as the two authors Oliver Krämer and Carsten Franke portray sneakerheads and collectors. You will find out some kool things, like one guy interrupting sex with his girlfriend, because an eBay auction was about to end (he won it!) or another one outbidding Roger Federer over the phone for a pair of Nike Air Max 1 41.
Tomorrow at 11am the second colorway of the Nike Air Yeezy drops in Germany. Exclusively at The Good Will Out in Cologne.
About half an hour ago there were already 60 people in line for about 40 pairs. It’s just kraaaaayzieee out here. People are waiting there since 10:45 in the morning, about 24 hours before the store opens. I’m sorry that I couldn’t take better pictures, but I forgot my digital camera.
But the best part came after I left while I was talking to Chrishimself on the phone: a guy just gave me one bottle of beer by laying it on my bag. I like.
And I also like that I can blog from my phone. ;-)
Pictures right here:
