RUN FFM All Star Shirts by myk31 benefiting Japanese Red Cross.

We are very proud to unveil our very limited RUN FFM All Star Shirts, that were designed by @myk31 alreadyyy a few months ago. The design is inspired by Japanese Pop Culture as most of his amazing stuff is. He already did music videos, lots of video animations – even for MAESTROKNOWS & itsbongoboy and dope graphics, so you definitely have to check it all out on his – you guessed it – incredible site myk31.com.

5538313059 2e9f8b85c3 RUN FFM All Star Shirts by myk31 benefiting Japanese Red Cross.

We were going to drop those shirts anywayz as they were planned to be released for another special RUN FFM milestone. It just so happened, that these Japanese inspired shirts were printed this week, so it was a no-brainer to drop them now, because that way we are able to do our little part in helping Japanese people after the disaster, that hit them so hard last week. How?? We decided to donate all profits from those shirts directly to the Japanese Red Cross.

5538802010 b1244e3dba RUN FFM All Star Shirts by myk31 benefiting Japanese Red Cross.

These shirts are very limited. You have the choice of 4 colours (black, white, grey, navy), but we only made a total of 31 shirts, that will sell for 31€ per piece (in conformity with Myk’s choice of the Ukrainian Devil’s Dozen as “his” number :D). The screen print is on Continental Earth Positive shirts, so they were manufactured solely using sustainable energy generated from wind and solar power and have an organic & very comfortable feel to them. You can read more about the shirts on the Continental EP site.

Please inquire for your preferred color and size combination via e-mail: andi@runffm.com. We are sorry, that we cannot do it over the “regular” web shop, because due to the very limited quantities there are several color/size combinations, that only exist once. First come, first served.

You can pay via bank transfer or cash. We ask you to please do so within 5 working days and please add 1,45€ for shipping to Germany (pick-up also possible of course).

As mentioned above, we hope to do our little part in helping Japanese people, that we otherwise would not be able to accomplish.

Thanks to Myk for this amazing design & him being all for the idea of donating all profits to Japanese Red Cross. Thanks to our screen printer to make this shirt possible in this small quantity. Thanks to all the supporters of RUN FFM (We are sure you’ll like this shirt). And of course to everyone, who is helping in any way possible for Japan to get back on its feet again.

By the way, on Mar, 25th all haircuts at Julie‘s Barber Shop will also be donated for Japan, so call 069 – 37304274 now to make your appointment. You should also check this round-up on Hypebeast and on WHATZOOEVER!.

Let’s pray for Japan!
気をつけて!

SOpreme.

After having seen the SOpreme shirt by SOTO at the In Heaven Part 2 party in Frankfurt, I had to get it, too. And after having read a comment on the availability under the pic on their Facebook page, I got on the phone, Phil-G answered and a few days later I had it. Thanks, guys!

To get the pun on the shirt: It was released as part of the Supreme Book launch at SOTO and came with every book back then.

ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

Last weekend, the ADC Summit took play in Frankfurt at the Fair, ADC standing for Art Directors Club (Germany).

4618623365 f9cd77a1ef o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

4619241058 f30c1afa23 o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

After I found out, that the guys from flaek footwear (Oliver and Sven) also had their shoe on display at the ADC Exhibition, I had to go. There is more than a little story behind this sneaker, because this shoe is the final project of their studies. It is called kaalen hi and I already blogged about it last September. So now being able to finally check it out in person, was quiet cool.

4619240098 8d90eb545d o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

The material felt really nice and the shoe’s design is so fresh, so clean as you can see on the pics. What you also can see is the wooden box for the sneakers as well as the interchangeable tongues on the side. Right, now they are looking for a manufacturer to make a larger production.

4618627257 1ea6fdba4c o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

Obviously, the guys were not really satisfied with the way things were presented here, as you can also see Flow from Bunnypop checking out some ridiculously long home improvement bill, that was laying right next to the sneakers from another project, while the posters for the sneaker were hanging on that side of the table.

4619239590 79db8ec07b o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

4618626825 066f44d38d o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

But just imagine that cart at the home impovement center with all those goods worth 3,748.20 Euros…

Anywayz, you gotta take the hat off to Oliver & Sven for pushing that far and creating their own sneaker. You can only guess, how that feels, wearing your very own snekaer on your feet!! And I’m definitely in for a pair, guys!!

Finally, here are some other projects, that stood out to me.
This right here was called Swooshed. Basically, it would allow you to personalize the swoosh for NIKEiD products by being able to upload your own graphic.

4619238438 9fe5ab3a29 o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

4619238192 7593ed458e o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

I’m definitely rooting for this as I would also for this bottle of Vodka Absolut.

4619240784 e6c9f23622 o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

Also laying around randomly were these limited posters by Pixelhure, you can get at hhv.de for instance.

4618625965 3b7d17e699 o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

4619239280 2b8bbdc64f o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

And I also liked that placard right here. Not only for the design, but if you know German, you’ll get it.

4619237928 6d4c89dbe0 o ADC Exhibition. flaek kaalen hi.

The ADC Summit is also taking place in Frankfurt the next two years, so hopefully there are going to be some cool new things to check out in 2011 and 2012, too.

God bless Azita & my new NIKE Air Maxim 1.

Did you notice how Chrishimself’s posts all contained some cool art recently (proof here, here, here and here) and mine are all about material things (proof here and this very post)? But who would argue that sneakers aren’t art themselves, right?? Right??? So, here we go again, because I promised you more gear to be featured.

It’s already been a while now, since I stopped by AZITA and got me these NIKE Air Maxim 1 Torch+ ND to rock this summer, but summer’s still M.I.A.

Also have a look at their new store design. I think that definitely counts as art without any doubt!

4610656190 2404afd32c o God bless Azita & my new NIKE Air Maxim 1.

On my way out, I was also handed a copy of the latest Sneakers Magazine, that contains a sneaker store guide for New York City (including our favortie NYC sneaker boutique atmos) besides many other interesting articles.

4609950243 b181997b87 o God bless Azita & my new NIKE Air Maxim 1.

A pic like the last one also never hurts and that way I can be sure to have squeezed as much art into this post as I possibly could. ;-)

Cheers from London, Part 3.

So today was the day after the race and I’ll get to that in the video. Just this right now: It was an amazing experience and even though Oxford lost, you can only be proud of the guys!!!

I wanted to do only three things today, but I was running around the city for 10 hours to do so. That’s just how big London is. Today’s post is also an iPhone edition, because I couldn’t take my regular cam to the Fulham game.

My first stop was the Sunday Up Market near Brick Lane. Small booths offered fashion items like shirts, hats, glasses and also art and bootleged music (Or is there maybe any other word for CDs that are recorded from vinyl??).

london brick lane 1 sunday up market 1 Cheers from London, Part 3.

Dan Hillier has also a booth on this market and I went to check it out and have a brief conversation with him, because he has a design in the ‘Sag es mit einem Design’ contest from Freiraum and in my opinion he does some extraordinary work, that I haven’t seen from anybody else.

london brick lane 2 sunday up market 2 dan hillier Cheers from London, Part 3.

On this market I found a booth with lots of these blocks. I just had to get me some.

london brick lane 3 sunday up market 3 blocks Cheers from London, Part 3.

Outside on Brick Lane, there was also lot of stuff going on like it apparently does on every Sunday.

london brick lane 4 Cheers from London, Part 3.

I also noticed an incredible amount of vintage shops everywhere I went here in London.

london brick lane 5 Cheers from London, Part 3.

Some American Apparel Sale was going down, too.

london brick lane 6 Cheers from London, Part 3.

Around this area I found lots of streetart, cool designs and again some stickers. :)

After I only could spent about an hour there, I had to rush to Putney again to catch the Premier League game between Fulham FC and Wigan Athletic. I had to go to one of those, while I’m here.

london fulham fc 1 Cheers from London, Part 3.

What I really like was that this an old stadium and not a new football palace. In the picture above you can see, that from the street, it looks like an old fabric or something.

london fulham fc 2 Cheers from London, Part 3.

He has to be to them what MJ was to the Bulls.

london fulham fc 3 Cheers from London, Part 3.

And finally, this was the view from my seat. It was tough to decide, whether to follow the game or observe this poor guy in the orange jacket, because his tough battle against not falling asleep was much more entertaining. But the second half offered a much better effort, so there was no question anymore. And I’m glad about it, because otherwise I don’t know, if I would’ve seen the ball coming directly into my direction at one point. Unfortunately, I had to throw it back. Would have been a nice souvenir. Oh, and Fulham also scored two goals in the second half to their 2-1 victory.

london fulham fc 4 Cheers from London, Part 3.

The weather was really great today, so I could enjoy my walk along the Thames back to the Underground station. And yes, you can call me a Fulham fan from now on! Hehehe…

london themse 1 Cheers from London, Part 3.

My final task for the day was to spoil my stomach even more with the best pizza in town. And man, is this a pizza or what?? You don’t even see the plate anymore. Also tasted amazingly.

You can get it, too: Indo Pub, 133 Whitechapel Road, London, UK

I also noticed this on my way home.

I’ll be leaving for Oxford tomorrow to chill with Simon, so don’t expect me to post from there. See you, when I’m back in Frankfurt.

Cheers from London, Part 1.

Hey everybody,

Cheers from London!! I got here yesterday by the Eurostar train, that runs under the English Channel. I really wanted to experience this, but I’m glad to travel home by plane after all. I finally got to my hostel somehow and met up with Dani, who I went to school with. She has been living here for some months now alreadyyyyy. I catched the last minutes of the Champions League match between Arsenal and Barça and what can I say… After I entered the pub, Arsenal scored two goals. After that, she and her roommate took me to some nice bakeries and also to a cool pub. Dani even wore some OG Adidas sneakers, that her grandma used to rock in the 70s, but due to all the talking and laughing I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of them.

So, here’s the first pic for you: Tower Bridge & me. I have to admit, that I wasn’t feeling too well this morning, but anywayz…

london tower bridge Cheers from London, Part 1.

The first thing I bought is easily the most useful of all the things I bought today, but also the most unspectacular one.

london adapter Cheers from London, Part 1.

Anywayz, I got on the tube to Putney Bridge to check out one of Simon‘s practices with the Oxford eight. The Boat Race on Saturday between Oxford and Cambridge is why I made this trip. Here he is with the white cap.

london simon oxford Cheers from London, Part 1.

Oh, and by the way, they even have the Oxford University Boat Club seal on their rubber botts. Now, that’s style!! After the practice I made my way to Soho. First stop was the BAPE store, where the staff was so amazingly friendly. I got me this coin case, because, you know, when you get the chance to go into a BAPE store…

Not far away is Carnaby Street, where you’ll find also some nice shops. I went into the WeSC store and came out with these limited edition headphones, including a matching Be@rbrick and also some sort of bag, also in the same colours.

I also went into size? and they really have a good variety of sneakers, but it was too crowded for my taste.

In the streets nearby I also discovered this cool store dedicated to Lomo cams.

After some more stores, but I won’t get into it, I decided it was finally time to eat something. I remembered that crazy restaurant located in Soho, so I went there. The food was tasty, the waiters were super friendly and the whole thing was a cool experience, as you order everything by clicking on the table. I hope you’ll understand in my final video.

I also did the photo shooting for my WeSC headphones and the BAPE coin case on my table (go back and check the pics again!) as the menu and images are all projected onto the table. Oh, and Diddy, they also serve Ciroc there.
