Hey friends, fellow readers and people that just stumbled upon :)
Since I’ve been in contact with @chris_mako and @the_real_crada from Frankfurt I’ve been exposed to the music of Rasul and Square One.
First I didnt even realize that english was not Rasul’s first language I honestly thought I was listening to some New York HipHop!
I think this new video has universal appeal also to non hiphop heads, hey I’m not a hiphop head myself or I probably would have known all about Square One ;D.
It is also part of a new album called “Writing Colors” that was released through Juice Magazine .
I think its a great way to discover Rasuls music and to honor him if you are a true fan.
If you want some greater insight on the lyrics and references make sure to check out this awesome blogpost by DJ Kitsune.
I think he might be one of the only few people who are able to give you that insight on Rasul’s music.
As for me personally I really like the music of “Welcome Home” and I might just hit up the newsstand tomorrow to buy me a copy of Juice Magazine.
Only because its good music! RIP Rasul.
Back when I posted about Crada being everywhere, I literally just kept playing the video about the TYPOGRAPHIC BALLET event at MADE in the background just for the beautiful sound of this Crada (@the_real_crada) produced track, that Talib Kweli performed to. Some time ago I even found a leaked version of it, but I was so happy to see Crada upload the final version now, that also includes the hook by Samuel.
To me, it’s really one of the most beautiful beats I ever heard, plus it also features dope lyrics by Talib as you would expect. Please have a listen!
Frankfurt beat producer @the_real_crada just posted this on his twitter feed, splash magazine had a little three part interview with Crada and Shuko talking about the producer scene, crappy content on other webpages, how they started off making music, their breakthrough projects, their passion for music and a bit about what comes next + more.
To our international friends sadly the whole thing is only in German, since its a local website, but maybe you can use it to learn some “Franggfodda” slang haha.
Crada recently posted this pic on Facebook of him working with Tony Yayo in NYC. You never know, if something is being realeased out of these sessions, but it’s really crazy to see what international artists he has the chance to work with in the last months, after he landed dope beats on CuDi‘s and Drake‘s debut albums.
This proofs to me that talent, effort, good people in your team plus the tiny bit of luck can take you anywhere. Hopefully there is much more to be heard from this guy.

This last night was an amazing one once again as YOSOY & fenchurch brought out DJ Craze to Frankfurt to rock the club Walden together with DJ Passion, Jackmode of The Goooniez & YOSOY’s 1st lady C-Arrow. As always the case, good music & good people made up for a lot of fun. To get an impression you should check @chrishimself84′s video right here.
If you are interested in some live audio click here and/or here. Unfortunately the sound quality is not the best as it is only taken from the DSLR cam Chris used for the video. But maybe it will give you an idea of Craze’s skills on the 1′s & 2′s.
Literally only seconds before I headed out of the door, I thought to myself that I should take my FUJI Instax cam with me and obviously it turned out to be a good idea as I was able to snap some nice photos. It’s also always amazing how people react when they actually see the picture coming out of the camera. :)

Big thx to YOSOY & especially Yves for everything.
The video and the pictures don’t tell the whole story of course, so you better come out next time. :)
OK, maybe I’ll continue with some more Berlin-realted posts for a minute. But for a special reason.
About a month ago, hypebeast.tv posted this very nice video about the new creative space in Berlin: MADE. I already mentioned it in my last Berlin post, when I talked about meeting Phil-G., who is one of the people responsible for this unique project. The others are Nico Zeh, Tadi Rock & Luise Biesalski.
But more specifically this video also gives us an impression of their second event called ‘Typographic Ballet’ that featured Ebon Heath & rapper Talib Kweli both from Brooklyn.
If you did pay attention to the music in the background, great! And if you did not, you should just check again, because I could listen to it ALLLLLLLLL day. It is beautifully done by Frankfurt located producer Crada (@the_real_crada), who also was part of this event and who did some tracks for internationally known artists The LOX, KiD CuDi, Drake & Nneka featuring NaS. His latest production is for L.A. rapper Jay Rock. Here’s the video for the song, that is also part of Jay Rock’s upcoming mixtape ‘Black Friday’. You can listen to the other tracks on his SoundCloud profile.
I’m hoping to listen to a lot more good stuff from this kid. Keep it up!
I’m glad to have my KiD CuDi fan package now complete with the arrival of the Deluxe Ed. of his debut album (I reported earlier about this issue).
As you can see on the pic, my package now includes both versions of his album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day (Deluxe Ed. from hhv.de, normal version from Amazon.de, both including also the poster and “Hyyer”, the track produced by Frankfurt & Mannheim hip-hop producer Crada), the Kid Cudi Moon Face Concert Tee by Karmaloop and his Complex cover issue, thanks to the lovely Maren, who grabbed it in New York for me. Thanks again.
And always remeber: Go to DatNewCudi.com for fresh KiD CuDi news and use code CD31270 for 20%off on Karmaloop.com.
Crada is a Frankfurt am Main / Mannheim based Hip Hop producer and songwriter who got his name out by working with german and international rap artists. Just recently we made a blogpost about Kid Cudi’s first album drop called Man on the Moon : The End Of Day.
After having a big hit in the states with D-Block’s “Get That Paper” which was already in Top25 heavy rotation on none other than Hot97 radio, he produced the Kid Cudi track “Hyyerr ft. Chip Tha Ripper“ which is now on the Kid Cudi album.
As Frankfurt based bloggers we are especially proud to give that exposure to people from our area.
Make sure to check out his myspace page (myspace.com/crada) for more information and to listen to some of the tracks produced by him.
Thanks alot to DJ Kitsune aswell for the heads up!
