Hello fellow RUNFFM.com viewers,
when I was in Tokyo last year I was looking for this kind of camera around several shops but couldnt find it anywhere, so I decided to pick it up whenever
I had the chance to. I kept an eye on the online retailers but most of them wouldnt ship anything outside Japan.
I stumbled across a service called Tenso.com which forwards you mail from Japan to your “outside Japan” address, its also called “proxy shipping”.
When I found out that the camera was still on sale for just about 5000yen I had to grab it since I havent seen it for under 7800 anywhere in Tokyo.
Here are some pictures of the camera itself (taken with my GR Digital), I will be taking photos with the Yashica for my next post.
The name digital Holga came from several users in the community that compared the image quality to the typical lomography cameras, like the Holga.
I think I will be able to tell you more about the image quality once I have tested the camera out, I think for just about 50€ its a fair deal for any camera fan or collector,
its not that its a really good camera but it has quite a novelty factor, especially since it is not officially availible outside of Japan.
Its quite a small camera with a classic retro look and a rubber lens cap.

Mike (@mikemiguel69) a day one supporter of RUNFFM.COM recently bought an old Polaroid camera for only 1 Euro at a fleamarket here in Frankfurt and decided to try out the new Impossible Project PX film.
He decided to record a little vlog for RUNFFM.COM showing you how the new film works and checking if the Polaroid camera is still working.

On a nice sunny day in Tokyo I decided to hit up the Stüssy x Ricoh gallery at the Ricoh Ring in Ginza.
Whats nice about Ginza on a Saturday (or was it Sunday not sure anymore) is that they block off the main streets for cars so people have more space to walk around while checking out all the stores.
Also a camera team was out and eager to find people for an interview about something, I guess fashion lol but who knows, it would fit the whole Ginza scene though.
I managed to take some pictures from inside the gallery.
Well all together the gallery was nice and it made me think about getting myself one of those Ricoh GR Digitals ;). I like their quality and how easy and compact they are I need something like that as my backup on the go camera though (depening on the lense) the 550D is not too heavy to carry around too but doesnt quite fit into my pockets ;). Afterwards we went to Shimokitazawa and checked out some other thingys but more on that in given time in another blogpost.

I think this picture was taken somewhere over China but I’m not really sure anymore, I believe it was on the way back to Germany from Hong Kong. I remember that the girl next to me was from China and we had some smalltalk about how she once travelled to Tibet and went all around the mountain areas of China as we looked down the window and that I should try that out once. Someday I actually might, sounds like a great adventure makes me want to go travel the world again :).

Well for me wintertime could finally turn to springtime, I’m not the biggest fan of the cold and the snow and all that. It doesnt mean that I dont enjoy if everything looks white and covered with snow, it has something very calming to it especially if you walk around at night in the snow and all you can hear are your footsteps going into the snow.
We were on the way to a friend to watch the NBA allstar game, which was by the way kinda lame I must say, and I brought along my Canon 450D. I wanted to take a testshot on the street and stood there for a second to take a shot and reset something on the whitebalance when the cops pulled up from behind haha. Read the rest of this entry »
