Around Christmas, I got a package from Andy, who runs the blog Toys R Evil, with some nice vinyl toys in it. He sent them to me, because I was the 700th @ToysREvil follower on twitter and didn’t wanna make a big deal about it. But I think I can at least write this post as appreciation and of course to show you these little friends and also what I got on our last trip to Tokyo.

Let’s start with this Yoka out of Season 1, designed by Huck Gee, showing a little attitude.

It’s perfect because these are the colours of Frankfurt: black, white, red! Here it is in his natural position.

I found out that there is now a Toys R Evil online store and he even has his exclusive Yoka, that you can buy from there.

He included this vinyl toy as well: Molly Play To-Fu.

“Kids, if you watch too much television, your head will also turn into a TV.” Hahaha…

And then also included was this bubble keychain. :)

So, I wanna send a big thanks to Andy, who really has one of the illest blogs about vinyl toys. If you are into it, you should definitely check out his blog at www.toysrevil.net.

This post here also gives me the chance now to show you my other acquisitions from our trip to Japan last year, as I got these two King Kens.

But what I cherish the most are my Be@rbrick figures from Series 18 and also a Bape one by Medicom.

Chrishimself already told this story about how I got very lucky at the atmos store, as I was looking for the Tetris Be@rbrick and that was the only one I wanted! I asked them if I could just buy the one they had on display, since they only got one unopened box left. (For startest: It’s a little bit like Kinder Überraschung, so it’s a sursprise, what figure is actually in a box!) But he denied, so Chris convinced me to take my chance! I opened up the box and a Tetris Be@rbrick was in it! :) The staff at the shop was also freaking out. Haha…

There are also Hidden Be@rbricks in a series, so they are even more limited. I got this Spongebob one…

…and this one out of the Hidden Be@rbrick Series 18.

And of course, a Bape camouflage Be@rbrick should not be missing.

And if that was not enough, Chris got incredibly lucky in Tokyo when it came to vinyl toys!!!

Andi aka theballatician and me went to Tokyo this year and really got into the Medicom Bearbricks while checking out all the sneaker and design stores. I remember how Andi went into atmos and picked the last box of a Bearbrick 18 series and actually got the Bearbrick he wanted, yes we were lucky if it came to toys maybe not as lucky when it came to sneakers though unfortunately for Andi (check the story about undftd and the yeezys).

This December the 22nd (12/22/09)  the big release of the newest in the series of Bearbrick is going to be out on the market.

BEARBRICK SERIES 19

For all of you that dont know what Bearbricks are, its a designer toy (urban vinyl / UV) by manufacturer Medicom Toys usually produced in really limited runs and highly collectable.

Instincttoys takes pre-orders as far as I understood the japanese on there click the link and use google translator if you are not fluent in japanese (like me).

I really didn’t want to buy so much shoes, but once you are given the chance… Maaan…

These NIKE RT1 High from atmos are my most favorite shoes from this trip. That’s why I rocked them right away!!!

Over the street at The House Of Hoops, I found these NIKE Dunk High Premium. I really like them, even though they kind of look like they are from Bavaria!!! lol

And I already ordered these NIKE Hyperdunks that perfectly fit my team colors online from footlocker.com to have them comfortably shipped to my friend. ;-)

That makes now three pairs of Hyperdunks for me bbbbbaaaalllllliiiiinnnngggggg!!!

Last weekend we went to atmos in Harlem New York, theres only two atmos stores in the world one in Tokyo and one in Harlem NYC.

Check out their interior nice presentation of all the latest sneakers by Nike, Adidas, Converse, Supra etc.

They also have a selection of T-Shirts by different streetwear brands plus their own atmos brand.

Really liked those atmos x hello kitty vinyl toys but didnt know that you could buy them thought it was decoration only… now I want one!!. Also check out the nice collabo between atmos and DC.

Talking to the staff, man I look weird in that picture haha.

Geared up with fresh kicks can’t wait for my next visit =).
