Wonderwall : Masamichi Katayama

Got this designbook recently and thought its amazing, if you have ever seen one of the bape stores in real life I’m pretty sure you will spot them in this book again.  But did you ever wonder who was responsible for all this?

 Wonderwall : Masamichi Katayama

Masamichi Katayama is the architect behind all these stores.

I think more shops / flagship stores should put more effort into their interior design and overall architecture, I have been to the Bape Stores in HK and in a few of the Tokyo Stores plus the BBC / Ice Cream stores and I must say it has always been an experience and sometimes also a bit confusing. Especially the BBC/Ice Cream (rocket)  store in HK was nice.

Tokyo #3 + Chris’ Tokyo VLOG #4.

So, on Wednesday, we again walked around town to check some stores for the newest shirts, sneakers and so on, but also we’ve seen some classic sneakers like the Jordan XI going for 126,000 Yen (nearly 1,260 US-$ and 1,000 €) at Kicks Lab.
