I’ve been to the Rock ‘n Shop sale today at Alter Offenbacher Schlachthof (the Old Offenbacher Slaughterhouse), where you’ll get special deals on some nice clothes, shoes and accessories by many brands including The Hundreds, Sixpack France, Nudie, Superdry, Adidas, Nike and many many more. It’s still running tomorrow (Saturday, 17th April) from 12:00 until 20:00 at this location:
Achat Plaza Hotel, Ernst-Griesheimer-Platz 6, Offenbach
By the way, thanks to Adrian from Freiraum Frankfurt for having a cool talk in between.
And there’s also the 10th Nippon Connection going on until Sunday. It’s the largest festival for Japanese cinema outside of Japan. Chrishimself already posted about it last year. Alreadyyy. It was the first time, I went there today as well. Besides the red carpet and the movies, …
…you also have the chance to just hang out, …
… to buy some mangas, …
… to grab some Japanese food …
… or play some old school games.
Check the website for all screenings and locations.
One thing I’m going to check out when I am back in Tokyo is the UNIQLO UT T-Shirt store in Harajuku, Tokyo.
It usually has alot of different designs every month with all kinds of themes going from music, movies, anime/manga etc.
Right now they have a collaboration going with the famous manga / anime Dragonball check out the lineup right here and go here to see some more detailed shots of the T-shirts.
Hey everyone,
bought this in Akihabara the other day and brought it back to Germany decided to give it a try today, check it out.
I couldnt really read what it says on the cover but I liked the packaging, nor could I guess how it will look if I open it. But I kind off had an idea…
Tadaa!
Nice way of presenting two nice looking pudding oppai huh? ^^;
Oh well about the taste I expected something more “milky” and “vanilla-ish” but it tastes like some kind of soda pop / ramune which I find odd for pudding, therefor it doesnt go that well with coffee or tea in my opinion.
Anyways I’m enjoying my afternoon oppai now cheers!.
Hey Guys this is my first update from Tokyo Japan.
I arrived sound and safe I survived the two earthquakes and the typhoon the only thing I have to struggle with right now is the heat and humidity plus a little jetlag but thats fine.
The first night I really only chilled out at the hostel after easily 25 hours of travelling I was done for that day and slept until the second earthquake hit around 4am, it felt like someone was shaking me in my bed telling me to wake up!.
Yesterday I met up with two friends who coincedently also went to Tokyo just a week before, we met up in Shinjuku.. not a really good meeting place because it has so many exits we agreed to meet in front of Odakyu it took a while for them to find me or me to find them since we both dont have working cellphones here in Tokyo :/.
Eventually we met up and since my friends are huge fans of Anime and Manga I told them we should check out Nakano Broadway, a place that has alot of anime related shops. Havent been there before but it was a huge place stuffed to the rim with anime stuff so if you are into that you can go there by taking the Chuou line to Nakana from Shinjuku and its right behind the station the anime stuff starts at the 2nd floor.
I recorded alot of video material for my little japan documentary we also tried to get some reaction shots of ourselfs eating Natto and drinking Cola Shock LOL. Yeah good times….
The night ended in Shibuya where we just went to some overpriced wannabe punk bar with nice ambiente at least. I enjoyed a few beers with my friends and went to a crazy Karaoke session afterwards we decided to hit a manga kissa to chill out until 8am or so since both of our hostels have curfews LOL, good thing that the one that I’m going to next doesnt.
Sorry for no pictures (yet) but I’m mostly recording video and you will get to see these too once I edited everything which takes some time. I also planned a few photowalks I brought my dslr along but forgot my Lomo LCA (damn).
Anyways hope you enjoyed my first post from Tokyo!.
Sometimes I think about what would make a great film and I think about animes and cartoons somehow that inspired me alot during my childhood years. Its weird back then I didnt even know that alot of those “cartoons” were made in Japan and so called “animes” (derived from the word animation).
I think first of all I have to mention He-Man which is not an anime but I think for every 80′s born kid one of the first most influential cartoons and heros hrhr.
Nippon Connection 2009 is over and I got around to watch 5 films this year compared to the last two times I attended Nippon Connection thats 5 more hehe. Here are a few pictures of this years NC.
Make sure to check out “Locked Out” a japanese road movie directed by Yasunobu Takahashi which I was glad to meet during this years Nippon Connection. Check out the website!
I got this Tokyo guidebook in the mail today, its not an ordinary Tokyo guidebook though.
The title already pretty much gives it away its called the Tokyo Maniacs Guide, this book is extraordinary ;-)
All bilingual for you in english and japanese this book gives you insider tipps on locations in Tokyo that are worth a check out if you are into not so “normal” things.
This book is going to help me with the research on japanese popculture and my documentary on it, that is scheduled for shoot this august.
If you want it the only place to order it isYESASIA , more pictures after the jump!.
