Todays post is going to be a collection of some street shots that I took during my recent Tokyo trip.
Most pictures in this post were taken around the areas of Asakusabashi/Akihabara, Harajuku and Shimokitazawa.
The three stripes are everywhere.

The Shimokita.
They are building a new highway through the old Shimokitazawa area which will destroy the whole vibe of the area.
Several organizations are trying to convince the Tokyo government to reconsider their current plans to save the Shimokita.
Village / Vanguard is an interesting store in Shimokitazawa that has all kinds of weird and cool stuff and “novelties” , from cool cameras, books/magazines, music, gadgets, T-shirts to weird costumes.
Costumes like that one for example… HG!
If you keep an eye open for cool stickers in the different areas of Tokyo you might come accross
one of those ;)
Lots of food vendors near the Shimokitazawa station.
The title of this can of beer sounded weird to me, “The Brew”, it sounds like someone mixed together all the leftover beer of last night and put it into a can, but it wasnt that bad actually when I gave it a try.
But I’m still not sure if it really was beer ;)
Uniqlo had some cool T-Shirts and as always for a good price, I am also surprised by the quality of their T-Shirts !
The prints on my old Uniqlo shirts still look like new after several washes.

Some people have asked me what kind of camera I used for the black and white shots from Tokyo.
Well while I was at the Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara, I got the idea that it would be interesting to take some black and white shots on film while I am in Tokyo. I only had my Lomo LCA with me that used 35mm film and I still had more than 20 shots left on the roll that I still had to take, while wandering around this huge store I found those Single Use Cameras.
When I saw the results I thought I should give it another try and got me some more of those ^^;

Hey guys as some of my friends already know I am back in Tokyo and so far I’m accomodating to all the new circumstances, all the confusion, the jet lag etc.
But you know what its all worth it, I thought I would share some of the oddities that you can encounter while you are in Tokyo with you. Not to make you jealous, mh maybe a little bit ;-) but who knows maybe you have never thought of going to Japan and this will help you with your decision.
I woke up early, my hostel is near Akihabara the so called electric town of Tokyo it has everything that your electronic geek heart can ask for plus much much more and I mean more! Gaming, Idols, Maids, Food, Health Material ;-).
The Streets were still very empty I later want to that Gorilla Curry place on the other street side.
I went out when the total rush our hit.. until 9 in the morning the trains are filled to the brim with people so I wouldnt go out that early if I were you, maybe its not for all trains but for sure for the JR Chuo line coming from the Chiba area, its were all the salary workers travel towards Tokyo from the more outside areas, you will see armys of SUITS! haha.
The japanese train authority invented the (I think) first women only cart, for obvious reasons… we stink, I guess. Time to take a shower and use deoderant guys! ;-)
I’m using AXE at the moment I wonder about the AXE effect inside one of those women only carts, when I accidentally enter one, like the gaijin that I am haha.
Talking about gaijin (which is the japanese short word for gaikokujin meaning outsider or simply foreigner) there is a new movie coming out based on this manga/novel called “my darling is a foreigner” I havent heard much about it yet but the trailer looks interesting I wonder if I can get me a subtitled copy of that.
The konbini (japanese convinience store) can be quite a life saver they stock almost everything for your daily life needs.
This is what will happen to wack rappers in every country! Start quitting the business and sell sausages cause you wouldnt sell two records even if you did a double album. haha ;-P (stole that verse I know)
Theres also a bunch of book (mooks) and magazine stores, heres the latest copy of shoe masters, to all the sneaker heads outside step your sneaker game up when you come to Tokyo cause you will definetly see some crazy neckbreakers out here ;-)
Also alot of photography magazines availible and my personal camera of choice.

In the Akihabara district of Tokyo, Japan you find all kinds of gadgets, collectables, hobby stuff etc. people that know the area call it the mecca of electronic goods. But what its also known for is the quite huge amount of retro gaming goods you can still find here.
Theres alot of places around to shop for retro games and of course places that might have better bargains than this one but none of them has become as famous as Super Potato in Akihabara and Osaka’s Den Den Town.
You can almost find anything from the era famicom, super famicom even more exotic stuff (for our midst) like Nintendo disc system, MSX computers, PC Engine, Neo Geo or the Nintendo Virtual Boy.

bought this in Akihabara the other day and brought it back to Germany decided to give it a try today, check it out.
I couldnt really read what it says on the cover but I liked the packaging, nor could I guess how it will look if I open it. But I kind off had an idea…

Nice way of presenting two nice looking pudding oppai huh? ^^;
Oh well about the taste I expected something more “milky” and “vanilla-ish” but it tastes like some kind of soda pop / ramune which I find odd for pudding, therefor it doesnt go that well with coffee or tea in my opinion.
Anyways I’m enjoying my afternoon oppai now cheers!.
