Whats good?
I havent been to the last Nippon Connection a year ago but I’m glad I was able to check it out this year, while there I took some photos and did a little vlog for my youtube channel.
The Nippon Connection is the biggest Japanese filmfestival in Germany specializing in showing some of the movies from Japan, that usually dont get the big cinema releases.
It also trys to offer independent filmmakers from Japan a platform in Germany / Europe. Its not a huge filmfestival but it certainly got its charme, though I must say
that theres a few things to improve that havent improved over the years this festival has been held in Frankfurt.
I wasnt checking out any movie that day but I’m going to check out the liveaction movie Gantz on Saturday and I’m actually looking forward to see how they adapted the anime/manga.
Heres a few photos and my youtube vlog embedded below.
Now this is how we love to see our T-Shirts represented :) Mike and Claudia had a little easter weekend trip to Prague and they took a bunch of really cool shots around the city.
Make sure to follow Mike on his twitter account (@mikemiguel69), he is also one of the very first @RUNFFM local supporters and even hosted a youtube video for RUNFFM in the past. On that note also make sure to subscribe to my youtube account if you want to stay on top of all the videos I make ;).
By the way the T-Shirt is a limited edtion collaboration shirt made by @myk31 (www.myk31.com) we decided to donate all
its proceeds to the Japanese Red Cross to help the victims of the earthquake that hit northern Japan on the 11th of March.
Hey! Just got up after I’ve been editing this little vlog until 5:30am and I thought I would also post some extra pictures from yesterdays mini gig by Jacob & The Appleblossoms at the Levis 25h Hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
Have a nice easter weekend guys! Thank you for following our blog!!

A few days ago – on Tuesday to be exact – I was at the Aloe Blacc concert at mousonturm here in Frankfurt. The place was really packed and people were going crazy. By the way, also peep this dope shirt by AZITA!!!!
I also met two former b-ball teammates. One of them is aware of RUN FFM, while the other one was not. So he was going like “Yo Schulz, wuddup with your lifestyle, man?!? See you running around town with Americans and stuff!” The last time I had seen him was last year, when we were actually running around town with DJ Neil Armstrong and since the mood was alreadyyy at an unbelievable high, I said “Oh, you mean Jay-Z‘s DJ, right???” which only added to his freaked-out-ness. So he asked, how that went down and I just pulled out a RUN FFM sticker. – “OK, cool. So… how much do you get paid as radio host???” LMFAO…
That’s because many people only see and/or speak out the FM at the end. I didn’t have an answer for him nor do I have any right now, but one person, who should know is Nardwuar The Human Serviette, because he has his own radio show. But since he’s the fucking greatest interviewer of all time, he should be thrown all money at.
Why he really got money thrown at, is told by Nardwuar in this video of his TEDx presentation, that @chrishimself84 posted this video recently via his twitter. It’s just like his interviews: VEEEERY DIFFERENT. He has a unique style, but please check it out yourself. He tells how he was able to get an interview with some people, but the bottom line is: because he asked!!!
That’s also a great way to end your presentation, right?!? Might try that at university next time LOL.
I don’t remember how we stumpled upon him, but it has to be it an interview with some rapper. Obviously he has also interviewed many politicians, which is even doper, if you think about it. You can check out all vids on his YouTube Channel.
Theres amazing stuff on Youtube nowadays! You should get an accountnow and subscribe to The Mijonju Show ! Why ? Because its about super cool cameras and super cool things !!
He reviews cameras of all kinds but not the boring ones that you see at some kind of electronics store, NO ! as I said its about super cool cameras ! :)
Check out one of his latest reviews on the FUJIPET.
I also enjoy his videos about events, like this latest Lomowalk with the good crowd from Lomography Japan.
This is also super cool VOLTRON ooooo mmmm ggggg !!
@Mijonju also has a twitter make sure to follow him if you have an account and help spread the word about his show by sharing this blogpost on your facebook wall,

Thanks and watch some more Youtube and a little less crap like Frauentausch on TV.
So I was really stoked to see this little series by NIKE Sportswear Sweden, in which he meets up with Jonas Jerebko, the first Swedish player in the NBA. Making it to the NBA alone is incredible, but imagine to the first one of your country, it must be over the top!
In the 1st episode Adam flies to Kinna, Jonas’ hometown, is shown around by Jonas’ dad & checks out some pictures of the career of Sweden’s first NBA player to see how he slowly grew up into an NBA player.
Now, in Episode 2 Adam made his way to Detroit, where Jonas is playing with the Pistons. They are talking about the adjustment Jonas had to made, his first season, his injury, performing in front of audiences & crazy schedules.
In the 3rd episode Adam meets up with Juan Atkins, who was one of the people to help lay the foundations in the 1980s for Detroit Techno as it is known today. They are sharing their experiences on what good record feels like, but also discussing how the music business has changed the way you have to get yourself out there as an artist in this day & age with the digital revolution taking over.
In Episode 4 Adam & Jonas meet up in Stockholm to talk about their begginings, their struggles and also their goals.
The highligh of this series was the American Made event, that was basically a basketball tournament with an ensuing party. Dope!!!
But… was this really the footage of the 3 point contest?!??? And their Destroyer Jackets are fucking überdope!!! I couldn’t stop staring at those…!
It would also defintely be nice to see this kind of cool & interesting stuff happen in Germany, too.
As a little bonus you might like this video of Adam performing “They Wanna Know” in front of the last pieces of the Berlin Wall.
There’s also the ‘HATERS MAKE ME LAUGH‘ party going down this Friday at Sinkkasten Arts Club by the good guys from the Sorrow Crew, that were already going aaaaaaaallllllllll out at our RUNFFM.com BLOG PARTY two weeks ago.
They are a b-boying crew (by the way you should check out Joe explaining how to b-boy here), but don’t be scurrrrrred. It’s all about having a good time with cool people and good music. No b-boy skills necessary, but I’ll let them explain it all themselves in their funny interview during Funky Fresh on Radio X last week, where they been guests at the studio.
Here’s also the party trailer with footage of the last HMML party. Keep your eyes open for the RUN FFM shirt (It’s Joe, of course. Thx, man!)
As you saw they also got their own HATERS MAKE ME LAUGH shirt, that is really of great quality I must say!!! If you are interested in getting it for 18€, just on post on their Facebook Wall.
Aaaaaaaand finally, here’s the Facebook event for detailed information as usual. Admission is only 7€.
By the way, I’m also hoping for some nice moves by Nazret ;-)
This Friday will be the premiere of hip hop classics and RnB sounds at the King Kamehameha Club, for which our man DJ Lunis will be responsible, alongside Le Alen, who will put on the very best of house music. The party is called ☆ LILA ☆ and here’s the trailer featuring some of the most beautiful faces around Frankfurt. So you know, who couldn’t be left out, right?!? Hehehe…
Here’s also a little musical teaser for y’all by DJ Lunis.
Frankfurt beat producer @the_real_crada just posted this on his twitter feed, splash magazine had a little three part interview with Crada and Shuko talking about the producer scene, crappy content on other webpages, how they started off making music, their breakthrough projects, their passion for music and a bit about what comes next + more.
To our international friends sadly the whole thing is only in German, since its a local website, but maybe you can use it to learn some “Franggfodda” slang haha.
Saw this musicvideo earlier via @hypebeast and I thought the choreography and the whole video is so awesome I have to share it on @RUNFFM right now :)
Also please make sure to follow us on facebook and twitter please :) Just click the little like button on top, Thank you! ^^
