Just got back from Tokyo yesterday, been looking through my footage for my little 25min documentary about popculture in Japan that I’m aiming to submit to the next Nippon Connection Filmfestival in 2010.
Because I’m also going back to work and going to spend some time editing I might not be able to post as regularly as before but I’ll try to update the blog at least once a week.
As a little treat I keep making these “mini VLOGs” from Tokyo here’s the latest one from a random hiphop festival in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo.
I think it was called BBoy Park 2009 but not sure though since we just stumbled accross it looking for a streetball tournament.
Actually making these mini-vlogs is quite fun and doesnt really take as much time to make since I just paste them together haha ;-) but if this actually gets some good feedback I might consider making more of them, not only from Tokyo but maybe some stuff thats going on in Germany.
as mentioned before we were going to the adidas x UNDFTD Party on Thursday, where we gladly didn’t have to pay the cover (even though we were not dressed in adidas or UNDTFD gear) and here is a little video from it, including a short footage from the party at our hostel Khaosan Ninja. Thanks for the free food and drinks. ;-)
So, on Wednesday, we again walked around town to check some stores for the newest shirts, sneakers and so on, but also we’ve seen some classic sneakers like the Jordan XI going for 126,000 Yen (nearly 1,260 US-$ and 1,000 €) at Kicks Lab.
But let’s start from the beginning, when we went to KIKS TYO, so Chris could meet someone for his documentary. Please have a look at those Baby Jordans they had. I like!!!
After we went to some kool shops like adidas, carhartt, Head Porter, atmos, KIKS TYO, Kicks Lab, Kiddy Land (found some nice vinyl toy), some kool shop I don’t know the name of and also to some resellers yesterday, I decided to sleep and stay mostly in the hostel, while Chrishimself was in the city for his documentary.
Anywayz, right now there is a little party in the common room of our hostel with a DJ set and everything.
Afterwards, we are going to this adidas x Undefeated party with DJ Muro. Should be good. :-)
We went for the release in Tokyo of the new New Balance 575 White Pigeon by designer Jeff Staple of Stapledesign.

I also arrived in Tokyo yesterday, so I thought I could share some early pics with you (after the jump). There are many things that irritate me here, but my first complete day in this city was really great.

Hey Guys this is my first update from Tokyo Japan.
I arrived sound and safe I survived the two earthquakes and the typhoon the only thing I have to struggle with right now is the heat and humidity plus a little jetlag but thats fine.
The first night I really only chilled out at the hostel after easily 25 hours of travelling I was done for that day and slept until the second earthquake hit around 4am, it felt like someone was shaking me in my bed telling me to wake up!.
Yesterday I met up with two friends who coincedently also went to Tokyo just a week before, we met up in Shinjuku.. not a really good meeting place because it has so many exits we agreed to meet in front of Odakyu it took a while for them to find me or me to find them since we both dont have working cellphones here in Tokyo :/.
Eventually we met up and since my friends are huge fans of Anime and Manga I told them we should check out Nakano Broadway, a place that has alot of anime related shops. Havent been there before but it was a huge place stuffed to the rim with anime stuff so if you are into that you can go there by taking the Chuou line to Nakana from Shinjuku and its right behind the station the anime stuff starts at the 2nd floor.
I recorded alot of video material for my little japan documentary we also tried to get some reaction shots of ourselfs eating Natto and drinking Cola Shock LOL. Yeah good times….
The night ended in Shibuya where we just went to some overpriced wannabe punk bar with nice ambiente at least. I enjoyed a few beers with my friends and went to a crazy Karaoke session afterwards we decided to hit a manga kissa to chill out until 8am or so since both of our hostels have curfews LOL, good thing that the one that I’m going to next doesnt.
Sorry for no pictures (yet) but I’m mostly recording video and you will get to see these too once I edited everything which takes some time. I also planned a few photowalks I brought my dslr along but forgot my Lomo LCA (damn).
Anyways hope you enjoyed my first post from Tokyo!.
I got the news, that the Air Jordan 60 + will be available today at Foot Locker. So I went on my way to the gym and found those three pairs, that were not there last week. They also have the Air Jordan 3 True Blue now, that Chrishimself and me got last week already via Snipes, and the Air Jordan Force 4.
I think by now everyone knows what the heat of the month is, its not only hot outside – no! – these pair of shoes on your feet are burning! The new retro release by Jordan Brand the Air Jordan 3 True Blue colorway is in my opinion one of the best Jordan colorways out there. The weird thing was that this release was not even planned for the US market, that means we in Europe for once have something that was released just for the international market haha ^^. My co-blogger Andi, a real big Jordan collector, got himself some extra to put on deadstock thats how much he likes them =) (And Jordan Brand/Nike will like him too lol ;-))

While working out, I discovered that today is Music Monday on twitter, so I decided to do this post I wanted to do since a long time. This video shows you how parties are going down in our beatiful town of Frankfurt. It’s by local band Rapsoul and called Tanz in die Nacht (Dance into the night).

We at RUNFFM already secured us those True Blue 3’s, for one time we got lucky in Europe with sneaker releases THANK YOU ! I am also looking forward to that White Pigeon release by New Balance. I’m still hoping they drop while I’m in Tokyo so I can get them there at reed space :-).
