Last year around August I went to Berlin for the extra casting of Tarantinos newest upcoming flick Inglorious Basterds a remake of an italian late 70s cult movie titled Quel maledetto treno blindato (aka. The Inglorious Bastards). Since I have never been to the Studio Babelsberg I just wanted to go to see how it looks like and also take the pictures and headshots for the role of a german soldier, I didnt get picked so sadly you wont see me in the movie but you can watch the trailer here plus I’ve upped a few pictures from the trip.

This is where I arrived, the airport Berlin Tegel.

Took the Bus to Bahnhof Zoo and from there I took the train to Babelsberg its not really far away from Berlin about a 10 to 15min trainride from the Babelsberg station you can walk to the studios in about 10 minutes or wait for a bus to take you there, sadly that day no bus came so it was a little workout for me haha.

Wow good thing I was there early because I took those pictures just after my pictures were taken I was kinda shocked how long the line was after I got out of the building everyone wanted to be in a Tarantino movie and this was just the first casting they scheduled a second one a week later I wonder how many of those faces you might see in the actual movie haha.

Afterwards I went back to Berlin to get some food and check out a few stores near the Kurfürstendamm, its a popular area for shoppers some expensive shops but also some of the usual, didnt have much time since I was not planning to stay and had to catch my flight back home.

A few breakdancers performing for the people.

Do you notice the different sign on the stoplight ? I think those were only used in parts of Berlin and the formerly eastern germany.

Alright back to the airport, can’t wait to watch Inglorious Basterds later this year seems to be a very good movie. Quentin Tarantino actually prepared a sequel to it already maybe I get the chance to be an extra in this one haha ;-).
