So, this is my first post after we got back from New York and Boston. We had a great time, even though we only spent a couple of days in those cities. Part of it was shopping like mad krayzie (and after it getting lost in Harlem, but that’s another story…). The first thing I did after our arrival (and a night without sleep at the airport) was to put all this stuff on my bed. Maaaaan, I do like it!!! And big shout outs to German Customs, that were not present at the airport when we arrived. ;-)
I will highlight some things during the next days.
We went to New York City last weekend to check out a few locations especially those that sell streetwear and sneakers ;-). We also went to the infamous Flight Club NY.
Flight Club NY is kinda on the pricey side as you will see on some of the further pictures but I must say they have almost everything there and in stock guaranteed to make your eyes pop!.
Hey to raise further awareness of the new destination of the Karmaloop Store I wanted to upload this post before everything else. The Karmaloop store is NOT on 160 Newbury anymore!!
They got kicked out by the landlord just before we went to Boston and are now located at 331 Newbury.
And I already expected something like this haha =).
Hey Hey from New York City Harlem to be exact, I’m staying at the L Hostel didnt get the chance to take alot of pictures yet and I dont have a card reader on my macbook (apple go put a card reader on your notebooks). Well we took a flight to Philadelphia where we had to catch a connecting flight to NYC, the flight to Philadelphia was delayed by 2 hours and we had to wait about 30mins in the air to finally land in Philadelphia because the runway was blocked… So we thought we couldnt get our connecting flight on time but it worked out since they waited for about 30mins it was all stress and running around but well what can you do.
So right now I’m planning my day here in New York will post photos once I get back to Germany on monday!.
That’s the official theme I picked for this weekend, when – some might have noticed, some don’t – RUNFFM will be on the road for the long holiday weekend… YEAH, BABY!!!
WegonnabeinNYC most of the time, but also in Boston for one day. We try to keep you posted during our trip, as we check out some kool places. So stay tuned.
And with the flight taking off in only less than 10 hours, there is desperate hope to have a flight attendant this gangsta.
Wow the Nike Air Jordan 5 Raging Bull was released earlier in Europe and its sold seperately and not as a pack, since I wasnt really that much into the red suede colorway I was happy to see that I can buy the 3M design off the nike online store and save some money.
Last year I went to the Philippines to study at a filmschool in Cebu for one year, it was perfect since I am half filipino and wanted to see the country my mother is from. I took alot of pictures during my stay in asia and here I want to share a few that I took with a small russian automatic film camera called the Lomo LCA. All these pics were taken on the way to the studio by foot and tricycle (small moped with extra seat on the side).
The Philippines is the biggest christian country in asia this little church was right in front of the place I used to stay, right in the middle of nowhere. I used to see some people holding a mess while walking by even at night sometimes.
As part of a special 2 hour sale that Mishka NYC held via Twitter I was able to get some new T-Shirts for half the price, check them out after the jump.
I’ve just ordered a book called The Tokyo Diaries by author David Schumann.
As the title gives it away its his Tokyo diary what else would it be, well the title could be some kind of drama novel but whatever its on point right?. David Schuhmann went to Tokyo to study at a japanese university for a few months and got the full treatment of japanese culture shock, weird things happening, weird people doing weird things and being isolated or at least feeling isolated in the beginning.
I can relate to a few of those things but I havent been to Tokyo that long to really know what actually goes on, therefor this is a nice read of actual real Tokyo experience.
And you know what if you’re actually are a punk rocker in your late 20s you might have a good chance to be a model in Japan at least thats what happened to him.
I’m not through the whole book yet but the first few pages were not bad and got me hooked and books usually dont work for me but if something is interesting enough I give it a chance thats why I sprung for the 16,90 Euro that this book costs on amazon hope I wont regret it.
As of now I would say if you are a fan of japanese pop culture and you speak and read german you should go and buy that book.
Last year around August I went to Berlin for the extra casting of Tarantinos newest upcoming flick Inglorious Basterds a remake of an italian late 70s cult movie titled Quel maledetto treno blindato (aka. The Inglorious Bastards). Since I have never been to the Studio Babelsberg I just wanted to go to see how it looks like and also take the pictures and headshots for the role of a german soldier, I didnt get picked so sadly you wont see me in the movie but you can watch the trailer here plus I’ve upped a few pictures from the trip.
Those Nike Air Max 90 models are only availible through Footlocker or maybe through some resellers online also I think I heard that hose are only availible at Footlocker outlets in europe but not really sure about that, didnt take a picture of every colorway while at the store because we were on the way to some other place but I think you can look them up here too.
